Michelle Williams would love more time

OHMYGOSSIP — Michelle Williams would love more time to devote to side projects but is focused on raising her daughter Matilda.

Michelle Williams wishes she had more side projects. The ‘Oz: The Great & Powerful’ star – who recently ended her relationship with funnyman Jason Segel – would love to have more time and energy to devote to other things but is focused on raising her seven-year-old daughter Matilda and her acting career.

The 32-year-old blonde beauty told Papermag.com at the launch of Kate Young for Target on Tuesday night (09.04.13): “No, I wish I had side projects! I’m kind of like a one thing at a time girl. I can’t really take on [more]. I wish I was. I wish I was one of those people who’s also taking lots of photos and going to cooking classes. But I just work and raise the kid. That’s all I can do.”

Michelle also revealed that raising Matilda, whose father is the late actor Heath Ledger, alone is still a big challenge but that her daughter is the centre of her world.

She said: “Raising the kid is the work, yeah. And it’s amazing, and it’s the ultimate creative act. That’s my side project and my center project.”

The petite actress recently signed on to appear in the big screen adaptation of the World War II novel ‘Suite Francaise’ and is looking forward to it because she is a huge fan of the book.

She said: “I was given the book many, many years ago. [It’s all about] forbidden love. I like the story because it’s a heroic story and I feel like those are always worth telling.”

Michelle previously revealed that her daughter is very open to trying out new experiences.

She said: “We both have a deep and abiding love for ‘The Last Unicorn’ by Peter S. Beagle. Matilda’s interests are kind of broad; I can’t think of anything I’ve tried to show her that she hasn’t been open to. Like she’ll watch a black and white movie.”
