Duchess Catherine has name shortlist
OHMYGOSSIP — Britain’s Duchess Catherine has admitted she and husband Prince William have a “shortlist” of potential names for their baby, which is due in July.
Britain’s Duchess Catherine has drawn up a “shortlist” of baby names. The duchess and her husband Prince William are due to become parents for the first time this summer and though they are finding it hard to select a moniker for their impending new arrival, they have been getting help from friends.
Catherine said: “We have a shortlist for both [boy and girl] but it’s very difficult… My friends keep texting me names.”
Although the baby is due “mid-July”, the royal couple are aware it could arrive any time.
Speaking during a visit to the Quarriers Stopover Project in Glasgow, Scotland (04.04.13), Catherine said: “It’s around mid-July, but apparently babies have their own agenda.”
During the visit to the homeless shelter – which provides short-term housing for 14 people between age 16 and 25 – the 31-year-old royal also revealed she had been attempting to knit clothes for her baby.
Accepting a gift of a woolen bonnet, teddy bear and onesie from 17-year-old Caitlin Tominey, Catherine – who was known as Kate Middleton before her marriage to William – said: “It’s very sweet of you, I’ll keep it safe for the big day. I’ve been trying to knit and I’m really bad. I should be asking you for tips.”
