Nicole Kidman to make Anchorman 2 cameo
OHMYGOSSIP — Nicole Kidman is expected to make an uncredited appearance alongside Vince Vaughn and Luke Wilson in comedy sequel ‘Anchorman: The Legend Continues’.
Nicole Kidman has landed a cameo role in ‘Anchorman: The Legend Continues’. The ‘Stoker’ actress will reportedly join stalwart jokers Vince Vaughn and Luke Wilson in the follow-up to Will Ferrell’s 2004 comedy about hapless news reader Ron Burgundy.
The Hollywood Reporter claim the trio have signed on to film small uncredited parts alongside returning cast members Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd and Christina Applegate.
Nicole previously had a cameo appearance in Adam Sandler’s 2011 comedy ‘Just Go With It’.
The announcement comes after Carell hinted the ‘Anchorman’ sequel would feature surprise celebrity appearances and revealed Hollywood legend Meryl Streep had approached him about getting her a role.
He said: “Meryl Streep told me she was a huge ‘Anchorman’ fan and she’d love to have a cameo in the sequel. That could be really funny. There are going to be plenty of great cameos in this movie.”
The all-star sequel – directed by Adam McKay and produced by Judd Apatow – also features Harrison Ford and Kristen Wiig, while ‘X-Men’ actor James Marsden is expected to play Ron Burgandy’s rival news anchor.
