Beyonce ‘had to’ be in Epic
OHMYGOSSIP — Beyonce has revealed she “just had to” be part of new animated flick ‘Epic’ and was thoroughly excited to play Queen Tara.

The singer-and-actress is set to voice Queen Tara in the upcoming animated fantasy adventure and has revealed that she was excited to join the cast when she learned about her majestic character.
In a featurette for the forthcoming film, she said: “I’ve always wanted to be a queen. Once I learned about my character, Queen Tara, I just had to be a part of it.”
The animated flick – which also features the voices of Amanda Seyfried, Colin Farrell, Josh Hutcherson, Christoph Waltz and Steven Tyler – tells the story of a young girl, Mary Katherine (Seyfried), who finds herself caught up in a forest adventure after her father goes missing.
Beyonce added: “The film is about how everything in our life connects.
“Everything in this movie is big – the characters, the action. This is one time where the film really lives up to its title.”
The ‘Halo’ hitmaker’s previous film credits include ‘Dreamgirls’, ‘Cadillac Records’ and her own self-directed HBO documentary, ‘Life is But a Dream’.
The animated flick is directed by Chris Wedge for Fox Animation, which is also behind the ‘Ice Age’ film series.
‘Epic’ is due to hit cinemas on May 22.
