Charlize Theron is to star in and produce a new crime thriller.
The ‘Young Adult’ actress is working under her Denver and Delilah banner to team up with veteran producer Ian Bryce to work on the as-yet untitled project for Paramount.
‘The Killing’ writer Dan Nowack is writing the script for the film, which revolves around a corrupt vigilante group and, according to The Hollywood Reporter, is similar in tone to ‘The Departed’ and ‘End of Watch’.
The movie marks the first project set up by Bryce, who established a first-look deal with the studio last May, after previously serving as line producer on their films ‘Pain & Gain’ and ‘World War Z’, as well as three ‘Transformers’ pictures.
The project marks the fourth new movie for Theron is just a few weeks.
She recently signed up to star alongside Seth MacFarlane in his comedy ‘A Million Ways to Die in the West’, and is working on Fred Savage’s ‘Ladies Night’.
Additionally, she is also attached to star and produce an independent adaptation of the Gillian Flynn novel ‘Dark Places’.
