Now you can earn a spot on Vanity Fair’s International Best-Dressed List!
OHMYGOSSIP — As announced in the New York Times, Vanity Fair is opening up its annual Best-Dressed List to the public for the very first time. Starting now, readers can take photos of their stylish selves, tag them #vfbestdressed and be entered to win a spot on the 2013 International Best-Dressed List.
But first you have to get through the Steps of Knowledge and the Temple Run (the fight to make Vanity Fair’s B.D.L. is the fashion equivalent of “Legends of the Hidden Temple”): the Editors’ Choice and the Users’ Choice. Every week, a group of VF.com editors will pick their favorite looks and stick them in a slideshow. In addition, users vote on other participants’ photos and every month, the user with the highest score wins a prize. (If it’s anything like the actual “Legends of the Hidden Temple,” this might be a mountain bike or a trip to Disneyland.)
But the ultimate prize is a place on The List: all the photo submissions will be reviewed by a committee and one male and one female will be awarded spots on the 2013 International Best-Dressed List and see their names in the September 2013 issue.
Sound intense? That’s because it is, dearies. This list is the big leagues — last year, Kate Middleton, Diane Kruger and Jessica Chastain made the cut.
