Shakira pregnant with first child

OHMYGOSSIP — Shakira has revealed she’s pregnant with her first child. The sexy singer and her beau, Spanish soccer star Gerard Pique, are expecting a baby together and the star has decided to cut down on her work schedule over the coming weeks.

“As some of you may know, Gerard and I are very happy awaiting the arrival of our first baby! At this time we have decided to give priority to this unique moment in our lives and postpone all the promotional activities planned over the next few days,” Shakira wrote on her website.

“This means I will not be able to be a part of the iHeartRadio Music Festival, but I’m sure this weekend in Las Vegas will be spectacular and I will be closely following everything that happens there!

“I’d like to thank Clear Channel and my fans for their constant love and understanding.

“Big kiss! And will see you very soon! Shakira.”

Back in 2010, the star revealed she’d like to have kids.

“Do I have any plans for children? Little wolves? Yeah, of course,” she said. “I’d really like to have kids, but first I need to go on tour and release this new album – and then we can sit down and talk about it.”
