Vanessa Marano to guest star in Grey’s Anatomy

OHMYGOSSIP — Vanessa Marano has landed a guest role in Grey’s Anatomy. The actress, who stars as Bay in Switched at Birth, will appear in the 20th episode of the season, The Hollywood Reporter says.

She will play a patient in the instalment, which is due to air late next month.

However, further details of her role in the ABC drama have not yet been revealed. As well as starring in Switched at Birth, Marano’s previous credits include roles in Dexter, Scoundrels, Without A Trace, Gilmore Girls and The Comeback.

She also recently had a guest spot in CSI. Summer Glau recently appeared in Grey’s Anatomy, while Katherine Heigl has revealed that she would like to go back to the show.

However, the series’ creator Shonda Rhimes has apparently ruled out a return for Heigl.

Grey’s Anatomy airs on Thursdays at 9/8c on ABC.
