Louis Vuitton Fall 2011 hat appears on Vogue China cover
Each fashion season there are a few items — a dress, a shoe, a whole outfit — that become the unspoken favorite of magazine editors. Whether it’s a gold Gucci belt or a print Prada dress, one collection rises to the top, Huffingtonpost mediates.
Louis Vuitton’s Fall 2011 collection, with its “Night Porter” hats and tight, bondage-inspired get-ups, may just be this year’s chosen collection.
Vogue China released its November cover with model Edita Vilkeviciute posing in the signature bellhop hat from the Louis Vuitton collection. Shot by Peter Lindbergh, the oversized blouse and undersized bottoms look romantic on the cover and a lot less harsh than they appeared on the runway.
But there are plenty of ways to wear the fall collection, from Beyonce’s unbuttoned look for W in July to Natalia Vodianova’s flirty pose for July’s German Vogue.
