Madonna to release new album in 2012

Madonna has been busy in the recording studio. The singer has announced she is releasing a 12th studio album in the spring of 2012, with its first single due out in February or March, according to Billboard.

Speaking to Sweden’s Sveriges Television (SVT) in Venice, Madonna said she had “started a little bit of work in the studio” for the forthcoming album and will continue recording in “New York, until the end of the year” when she returns to the United States.

Madonna recently confessed she was attracted to her ex-husbands Sean Penn and Guy Ritchie because they were interesting and talented and admits both encouraged her to pursue her personal acting and directing dreams.

“I am and was attracted to very creative people which is why I married Sean Penn and Guy Ritchie, very talented directors, and they both encouraged me as a director to do what I did. They were both very supportive,” she said.
