Mark Wahlberg’s Wahlburger restaurant to become reality series?
Mark Wahlberg has hinted that his upcoming Wahlburger restaurant may have its own reality series when it launches in the coming months. The Departed actor recently announced plans to open the hamburger restaurant with his brothers Donnie and Paul in the Hingham Shipyard in Massachusetts.
He revealed that he and his brothers are looking for full creative control over a possible television project that would oversee the opening of the restaurant. However, he added that he does not have plans to appear on screen himself if it were to happen.
“Maybe I’ll be the Charlie’s Angels of reality TV,” he told E. “You’ll hear my voice. But obviously it’s something that we’d want to control in every aspect and produce and make sure that we were doing something really quality.”
Wahlberg added that he is also looking into the health market with the Wahlberg ‘brand’, saying: “[It’s] a health and wellness business that will help people first and foremost feel good, exercise, eat right and then look good.
“Eighty-five percent of the population doesn’t exercise and eat right, and you want to be able to push them in the direction of extending their lifespan and living healthy lives.”
