Demi Lovato on post-rehab life: I face daily battle to stay healthy
Demi Lovato has admitted that she faces a “daily battle” to stay healthy after her recent rehab stint. The former Sonny with a Chance actress, who sought treatment for “emotional and physical issues” last November, thanked fans for helping her to feel “amazing” again.
“[Fans have] supported me through all this and it means a lot to me because they’ve been there for me when I was in treatment and when I got out,” she told E! News.
“I surround myself with people that are beneficial in my recovery and my recovery is still a daily battle and I definitely hang out with people that support me in making the right decisions. I’m a happier and healthier person today because of the choices I’ve made.”
Lovato added that she was grateful to “have the support” of other famous friends who could understand the struggles she was going through.
“Having the support of other artists and musicians and actors is really incredible and I’m thankful for that,” she said. “I’m thankful to have that kind of support from people I look up to.”
Lovato last weekend threw a ‘Sober Is Sexy’ party in LA to celebrate her 19th birthday.
