Demi Lovato throws sober birthday party in LA

Demi Lovato celebrated her 19th birthday by throwing a sober-themed party in LA over the weekend. Lovato, who turned 19 on August 20, invited family and friends to join her for a bash at nightclub Beacher’s Madhouse, Page Six reports.

The theme of the event was reportedly ‘Sober Is Sexy’ and guests were only allowed to indulge in frozen yoghurt.

A rep for Lovato has yet to comment on the report.

Lovato completed a stint in rehab earlier this year to treat “emotional and physical issues”.

The ‘Skypscraper’ singer later said that she was compelled to seek help after realising that she was severely damaging her body.

Lovato recently unveiled plans to hold three concerts to promote her third studio album Unbroken, which is released on September 20.
