Kate Hudson: Life as a working mom is harder than it seems
Kate Hudson admits life as a working mom is harder than it seems. The actress – who gave birth to son Bingham last month, her second child — explained to the September issue of Elle magazine how she juggles her career with motherhood.
“[It’s] definitely getting harder,” Hudson, 32, said. “You have to think about things like, ‘Where is [the movie shoot]? How long is it going to keep me away from my family?’ ”
“But, you know, life moves on. I would never want to be someone who complains and goes, ‘Oh my God, my life is so crazy.’ If you make the best of it, it can be amazing.”
During the times when she finds herself “off balance,” Hudson admits that she turns to her famous mother, actress Goldie Hawn, for guidance.
“She never hands out unsolicited preachy words of wisdom,” Hudson said of Hawn, 65. “My parents allowed my brother and I to have our freedom and be ourselves and feel confident in our choices and to make mistakes without too much judgment.”
