Is Hayden Panettiere dating NFL star Mark Sanchez?

Just two weeks after Hayden Panettiere announced her split with boxing boyfriend of two years Wladimir Klitschko, the ‘Scream 4’ star was spotted hanging out with New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez.

According to RumorFix.com, the pair was seen grabbing lunch from In-N-Out Burger in Laguna Beach, Calif. on Memorial Day. “They seemed very close and very happy,” a witness said about the outing.

Though a source close to the couple claim they are “just friends,” this isn’t the first time they’ve been spotted getting friendly together. According to Us Weekly, the NFL star reportedly talked up the actress back in February at a pre-Oscars bash in Hollywood.

Though Panettiere was still involved with Klitschko at the time, a witness told Us that “the flirting was mutual” between the pair.

Panettiere and Klitschko announced they were ending their two-year relationship on May 12.

“Even though we’ve decided splitting up is best for both of us, we have an amazing amount of love and respect for each other and remain very close friends,” Panettiere said about the split, with Klitschko adding, “I have a lot of respect for Hayden as a person and as a friend and I believe we’ll keep our friendship even after the separation.”
