Salma Hayek talks Antonio Banderas

Salma Hayek is shocked to find out just how close she is professionally as well as personally to Antonio Banderas. The sexy star is in Cannes to promote her upcoming Shrek spin-off movie Puss In Boots with Banderas but had no idea just how far they go back as costars.

“This is actually the sixth movie we have made together which is a bit of a shock because I had no idea,” says Salma.

“Making animated movies, you very rarely get to work with your costars let alone see them so I had no idea we had been costars on so many Shrek movies. Hopefully we’ll make another six together.”

Salma — who raises daughter Valentina Paloma Pinault  with her billionaire husband François-Henri Pinault — recently admitted that being a mom doesn’t give her ” a lot of time” to do what she wants.

“I don’t have a lot of time anymore,” she said. “Your social life suffers a little bit, definitely. Every parent will tell you that.

“At one point in my life, I was very involved with social causes. I’m still involved, but now I have a family and it’s important to me. I have to do this for myself, but there’s just only so much you can do sometimes.
