Jesse James: America still hates me
Jesse James still feels like “the most hated man” in America. The motorcycle entrepreneur — who has children Chandler, 13, Jesse Jr., 11, and seven-year-old Sunny from previous relationships — believes people will never forgive him for revelations in March 2010 he had cheated on then-wife Sandra Bullock and thinks the only way to gain redemption would be to “kill himself”.
“I think I still am the most hated man in America today,” Jesse said.
“It was definitely trying at times to try and keep my head on my shoulders and try and take care of my kids.”
Asked about allegations he is “rushing into” marrying current girlfriend Kat Von D, who he has been dating since last August, he added to website PopEater, “It doesn’t matter if I wait, it’ll always be to too quick to the public. I could wait ten years and everybody will say, ‘How come he’s rushing into it?’ It’s one of those things. At this point I don’t think I’m going to be able to do anything right in anybody’s eyes ever again, except kill myself or disappear, then people will be happy I guess.”
Jesse has also vowed never to date such a high-profile celebrity in the future as he feels he needs to be with his own “people”.
Explaining what he had learned from cheating on Sandra, he said, “It just taught me a lesson I need to stay hanging out with the people that I’ve been around and accept me and don’t judge me, that’s bikers and mechanics and stuff like that. It’s the kind of people that mainstream media looks down on, those are my people and I need to get back to that.”
