Doctors treating Zsa Zsa Gabor after she began coughing up blood

Doctors are now treating Zsa Zsa Gabor after she began coughing up blood from her lungs yesterday. Prince Frederic von Anhalt — the seventh husband of the 93-year-old screen legend — has admitted Zsa Zsa is in “so much pain” since being rushed to Los Angeles’ UCLA Medical Center, he doesn’t know whether she can handle her ill-health for any longer.

“She is spitting up blood and water,” he said. “The doctor thinks it’s coming from her lungs so we rushed her to hospital right away. I don’t know what to do. My poor girl, she is in so much pain. It is too much up and down with her, she can’t take it anymore.

“What can I do? What can I do? I can’t help her, I can’t take away her pain. The doctors are looking at her now. We will see what they say.”

Meanwhile, Zsa Zsa’s publicist explained the actress — who has been in and out of hospital since suffering from two blood clots following hip surgery last July — has been “going downhill” since she returned from hospital last month after having part of her right leg amputated.

“She has taken a turn, not recognizing Frederic at one point, and when the doctor came in to the house to check her out, she started screaming at him, ‘Who are you? What are you doing to me?’” the rep said.

“I’m told she’s been going downhill since she got home from the hospital.”
