Adam Sandler to receive Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame today!
Adam Sandler will receive the 2,431st star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today, honoring a career which has seen his films gross more than $3 billion worldwide.
Henry Winkler, who co-starred with Winkler in the 1998 football comedy The Waterboy, will join Sandler is speaking in the 11:30 a.m. ceremony in front of the W Hollywood Hotel on Hollywood Boulevard.
The ceremony comes 10 days before the release of Sandler’s latest film, “Just Go With It“, where he portrays a successful plastic surgeon who pretends to be married in order to attract women.

Born Sept. 9, 1966 in Brooklyn, N.Y. and raised in Manchester, N.H., Sandler began working as a stand-up comedian when he was 17 years old. Sandler began his television career in 1987 with the recurring role of Theo Huxtable’s friend Smitty on The Cosby Show.
Sandler was hired as a writer on Saturday Night Live in 1990 and became a cast member the following year, remaining with the show through 1995.
He is best remembered on Saturday Night Live for such original songs as The Chanukah Song.
Sandler’s first film leading role was in the 1995 comedy Billy Madison. He went on to star in Happy Gilmore, The Wedding Singer, Big Daddy, Little Nicky, Mr. Deeds, Punch-Drunk Love, Anger Management, 50 First Dates, Spanglish, The Longest Yard, Click, Reign Over Me, I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry, You Don’t Mess with the Zohan, Bedtime Stories, Funny People, and Grown Ups.
Sandler also has recorded five comedy albums, two of which were certified as double platinum and two others as gold records, and received two Grammy Award nominations.
