Julia Stiles denies ruining Michael C. Hall’s marriage

Julia Stiles isn’t responsible for the breakdown of Michael C. Hall’s marriage. Earlier this week, the actor announced that he and his actress wife Jennifer Carpenter – who plays his onscreen sister in Dexter — are getting divorced after tying the knot almost two years ago.

“Having been separated for some time, Jennifer Carpenter and Michael C Hall have filed for divorce,” their reps said.

Hall was then linked to Stiles — who also appears on Dexter.

The pair were seen together earlier this week while taking a break from shooting scenes for the show.

“Michael was checking out Julia’s butt,” a source said at the time. “He was fixated.

“He seemed fine though. You would never tell his marriage had just collapsed.”

But Julia insists there’s nothing going on between herself and Michael.

“I have absolutely nothing to do with the split between Michael and Jennifer. We are good friends and enjoyed working together,” she said.

“This is a personal matter between them, and we should respect their privacy. Although I too prefer to keep my private life private, I felt compelled to dispel the rumors I was somehow the cause for this matter.”
