Matt Damon can’t say no to his daughters

Matt Damon admits he’s powerless when it comes to saying no to his daughters. The actor — who raises Isabella, 4, Gia, 2, and newborn Stella with wife Luciana — says his girls only have to to bat their eyelids and he turns into a puddle.

“She was asking me for something,” Matt, 40, says of Isabella.

“It was a treat. I was about to give it to her. She was looking at me and I was in a trance. Lucy walked into the room and said, ‘Isabella.’ And she looked up at her mother and broke into the most mischievous grin.

“I realized that this 18-month-old already knew that I was completely wrapped around her finger and it made me think how unfair the fight was between men and women. I was helpless in front of this 18-month-old. So what chance did I have with her mom?”

“I wouldn’t say Lucy is strict,” he adds, “but she’s definitely better than I am. I think if my kids were boys, I’d be, because I really understand boys. I don’t think I’d have any problem putting my foot down with consistency and authority and frequency, but with girls …”

Damon recently revealed he wants his kids to grow up to be “strong” women.

“If I had a bucket list, I’d say raising my four girls to be strong, good women would be No. 1,” he said.

“I think what’s important for kids to know is that your decisions here on earth matter, your behavior matters, and how you treat other people matters,” he added.

“It matters here and I’m hoping that it matters in the afterlife, too. It just comes down to accountability for your own behavior that’s important. So whenever I talk to my own kids or whenever they ask, I try and put the hereafter in kind of an ethical framework.”
