Reese Witherspoon Googles herself
Reese Witherspoon Googles herself when she’s feeling down in the dumps. The Legally Blonde actress told Entertainment Weekly magazine that she sometimes likes to see what’s being written about her.
“Only in very, very dark moments — moments of pure self-loathing — do I type my name into Google,” she said.
“I know what I’m in for. You never read anything positive…You’re fat, you’re ugly, you’re tired, you’re worthless, you don’t have a career anymore, you’re a bad actor. It’s just an affirmation of every horrible feeling you have about yourself.
“Fortunately, most of the time I’m busy enough that I don’t have time to type my name into Google.”
Reese — who raises two children with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe, has previously dated Jake Gyllenhaal and is currently romancing Hollywood agent Jim Toth — recently revealed she likes it when guys try to pursue her.
“I have a girlfriend who said something really smart to me the other day,” she said. “She was telling me a story about how she would like go to the same coffee shop, and she was really into the guy making the coffee.
“He was this cool guy in a band and she always wanted to go out with him, but she never noticed that the guy giving her coffee every day was totally in love with her! So she said, it’s important to look at the guy.
“You know, don’t follow the guy you’re chasing, look at the guy who’s chasing you. I think that takes time, and sort of life experience to notice. Because boy is it fun, chasing boys — especially when you’re young.”
