Helena Bonham Carter and Tim Burton lead ordinary an life

Helena Bonham Carter insists she leads an “ordinary” life with her partner Tim Burton. The actress — who raises two children with the movie maker — says she and Tim are pretty boring behind closed doors.

“I’m sure it’s because I’m with Tim Burton. He looks weird, apparently. We don’t comb our hair. And everyone thinks we live in a weird house with an underground tunnel and our children live down the road,” she said.

“There are so many myths about us but the reality is nothing more interesting than two houses knocked together. I feel utterly conventional but, apparently, I’m not. I suppose a lot of actresses wear what I call ‘glass of milk’ dresses, those long tube things. I don’t have the body for them??

“And I definitely have a low boredom threshold. Tim says I don’t put on one thing too many, but seven.”

Helena recently admitted enrolling in parenting classes to learn how to become a better mother. “I’m not working right now and I need to learn to be a mum,” she said.

“It’s much harder than being an actress. I’m taking parenting classes. You know, no one ever taught me what to do. No one ever taught me what to do. Having children in my late 30s makes them more precious because you really want them by then. Before you are a mother you never know how much in love you will be. I want to be the best parent I can.”
