Miranda Lambert gets birthday wish at CMA Awards
Miranda Lambert walked away with the top three prizes at the 44th annual CMA Awards on Nov. 10, which also happened to be her 27th birthday.
Lambert, who was nominated a record-breaking nine times, won Video of the Year for her touching clip for ‘The House that Built Me,’ Album of the Year for her critically-acclaimed ‘Revolution,’ and Female Vocalist of the Year.
And you might say the bride-to-be also got an early wedding gift from the Country Music Association, when fiance Blake Shelton won both Male Vocalist of the Year and Musical Event of the Year for his duet with Trace Adkins, ‘Hillbilly Bone,’ thus ensuring matching his-and-her’s trophies.
Lambert and Shelton are the first couple to win vocalist honors in the same year since Faith Hill and Tim McGraw in 2000.
