Carrie Underwood in no rush to start a family
Carrie Underwood doesn’t have babies on the brain! The country music star — who married Mike Fisher earlier this year — says she’s in no rush to start a family.
“Whenever you’re dating someone, it’s like, ‘When are they getting married? When are they getting married?’” Carrie, 27, says in an interview with Entertainment Tonight Canada.
“As soon as you get married, [it’s], ‘When are you having babies?’
“We are not planning on it for a while. We both want to enjoying being married. I don’t think it would be fair to our kid to bring a child into our lives right now. We both need to slow down first, and we don’t want to right now.
“You never know what God has in store, and you can make all the plans you want to,” she says. “But at the end of the day, whatever’s going to happen is going to happen.”
Underwood recently admitted she and Fisher are still adjusting to being in a two career family.
“Being married is a lot like dating,” she said last month. “Sometimes our schedules will click, sometimes they won’t. But that’s good because we’re both independent.
“I love going to games, cheering for my man. When I come home, I’m accused of picking up the [Canadian] accent.”
