Christina Aguilera: I’m not successful…yet
Pop diva Christina Aguilera doesn’t consider herself successful. The singer — who recently announced her split from husband Jordan Bratman — has sold almost 50 million albums worldwide and won a string of awards, but admits she won’t be happy until she has achieved all her goals.
“There are still so many things that I’ve yet to accomplish, I think it’s something that I do tell myself, just to stay hungry,” she said.
“I am an overachiever and an extreme perfectionist. I would like to do more film and I feel that I still have yet to acquire the type of success that I desire.
“I’m sure there will definitely be a place that I will be at peace with knowing I’ve accomplished a lot.”
Recent reports claimed Aguilera — whose recent album, Bionic, was a total disaster — has turned to her Burlesque costar Cher as she bids to regain her pop queen crown.
“Christina is going through a transition right now both personally and professionally,” a source said earlier this week.
“She is working through a number of issues and Cher has continued to be the close friend she was when they were filming Burlesque together. Cher is helping her through this difficult time and helping with a strategy to get her back to the top, career-wise.”
