OHMYGOSSIP — Hotels in Windsor are selling out fast ahead of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding next May.
Following the couple’s announcement on Friday (15.12.17) that they will tie the knot on May 19, 2018, at Windsor Castle, hundreds of fans and media teams flocked to popular hotel websites to book up accommodation in Berkshire area.
A search on the likes of Hotels.com and Booking.com for the night of Harry and Meghan’s nuptials showed a distinct lack of hotels near to the castle still available, but there were some still vacant in the surrounding areas.
Kensington Palace announced last Friday that the 33-year-old royal and the 36-year-old actress will tie the knot at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle in Berkshire, south east England, on May 19 – the same day as English football’s FA Cup final in London.
A statement said: “His Royal Highness Prince Henry of Wales and Ms. Meghan Markle will marry on 19th May 2018. Today’s announcement follows earlier confirmation of the month of the wedding and its location at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.”
Harry and Meghan started dating in mid-2016 and he popped the question earlier this year during a “cosy night in”.
Meghan said: “It was a cosy night, we were roasting chicken … and it was an amazing surprise. It was so sweet and natural and very romantic. He got on one knee … Yes. As a matter of fact, I could barely let [Harry] finish proposing.”
Harry added: “She didn’t even let me finish. She said, ‘Can I say yes’. Then there were hugs and I had the ring in my finger. I was like ‘ Can I give you the ring?’ It was a really nice moment. Just the two of us.”
