Drew Barrymore: “I’ve had normal jobs”
Drew Barrymore says she has had “normal jobs” — despite finding fame in her youth. The Hollywood actress, who became a household name after starring in Steven Spielberg’s E.T., insists she hasn’t just worked in front of the camera.
“I’ve been acting since I was 11-months old but I have had normal jobs too,” says Drew. “I worked at a coffee house and I was terrible. And I mean, really terrible. My boss just hated me. I could see the resentment in his eyes every day. I was 14.
“I also worked at a Music Plus (store). I rocked at that job because I love movies and so anyone would come in and have just a vague idea of anything and I was like ‘I got it! I’m on it!’ I loved that job.”
Drew recently admitted she hasn’t ruled out having plastic surgery.
“I don’t want to be vain or fearful, and I don’t think I’ll do anything,” the 35-year-old told Elle magazine of potential cosmetic procedure.
“But if I want to do something, I will. From my perspective, there’s no reason to be afraid of aging, because if you age, you’re lucky! The alternative is death.”
