Kelly Rowland: Beyoncé was my only friend

Kelly Rowland has revealed that Beyoncé Knowles was her only friend when she was part of Destiny’s Child.

The pair remained in the group throughout its four lineup changes, and Rowland admitted that despite rumours of fighting between the pair, they were always best friends.

“We were always civilised,” she told Entertainment Weekly.

“That’s what I am most proud of. From the rumours to the lawsuits to false accusations, it was really tough. We were strong because we had each other.

“There were times when I couldn’t even be strong enough, so I had Beyonce. She was the only thing I knew. She was my only friend.”
