Katie Price plans cut-price wedding

Katie Price (33) is reportedly hoping to keep the cost of her upcoming wedding to Alex Reid down by haggling with suppliers. She has allegedly negotiated free hair and make-up, a £650 discount on the wedding cake and free performances from Diversity and JLS. Her wedding planner has also cut his fee, in return for free publicity when the wedding is aired on ITV2.

It means that the budget is less than a third of the £250,000 her wedding to Peter Andre cost. A source told the Sunday Mirror: “If the theme of her wedding to Peter was no expense spared, it’s safe to say this time round it’s more like make do and mend.

“If there’s something that she can haggle over, get at a knock-down price or better still for free then she will. If she’s not careful she’ll get the nickname Katie cut-Price.”

A friend added: “Before her wedding to Pete she would go through every detail with a fine-tooth comb. This time it’s as if her heart’s not really in it. She wants to get married to Alex because she’s desperate to move on from Pete and prove to him that she has moved on.”

It was previously reported that guests to the wedding have also been required to sign three confidentiality agreements.
