Dancing on Ice line-up revealed
OHMYGOSSIP — The full ‘Dancing on Ice’ line-up has been revealed, including Katie Price, Paul Burrell, and Saira Khan.
Speculation about the line-up of the ice skating competition – which is set to return to ITV in 2018 after taking a three-year break – has been circulating for some time, but fans of the show need not fret any longer as the names of all those competing in the comeback series have now been revealed by The Sun Online.
Former glamour model Katie Price, former butler to the late Princess Diana Paul Burrell, and ‘Loose Women’ presenter Saira Khan, will be joined by the likes of ‘Great British Bake Off’ winner Candice Brown, psychic Sally Morgan, and ‘Coronation Street’ star Anthony Cotton.
Also in the line-up is female cricketer Ebony Rainford-Brent, Olympic sport shooter Amber Hill, former ‘Waterloo Road’ and current ‘Coronation Street’ actress Katie McGlynn, and footballer’s wife Alex Gerrard.
The star-studded cast is completed by Scottish rugby star Max Evans, children’s TV presenter Toby Anstis, comedian Stephen Bailey, and ‘This Morning’ wine expert Olly Smith.
However, the line-up may come as a surprise to some as it was previously claimed ‘Coronation Street’ star Brooke Vincent – who is known for portraying garage manager Sophie Webster in the long-running soap – would be taking part after she impressed bosses with her audition earlier this year.
A source said: “Brooke has already wowed judges with her skating audition. Bosses feel she’ll be the perfect glam signing.”
As well as an impressive line up, organisers would like Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean to sit on the judging panel rather than reclaiming their coaching roles.
A source said recently: “Torvill and Dean loved their years spent teaching celebrities how to skate but they want to change things up for the new series. Now they are in talks to become judges, where they will finally get to have a proper say on what they think about the celebrities taking part.
“In the original format they were there to help them along the way, but this will mean they can use their gold medal winning expertise to decide who continues in the competition. If anyone is qualified to be a judge, it’s them, and it would be a great way to shake up the format and give it a new lease of life.”
