Duchess Catherine has spent £57k on clothes in four months
OHMYGOSSIP — Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, has reportedly spent over £57,000 on clothes so far this year.
The 35-year-old royal – who is married to Prince William – is reportedly on track for her most expensive year as a member of the royal family yet, as according to the Daily Mail newspaper’s Femail column, she’s already racked up a whopping £57,206 total in clothes spending for the first quarter of the year.
According to the publication, Duchess Catherine has already spent more than her grand total for the year of 2015, where her wardrobe was reportedly worth £43,000, and after only four months is almost halfway toward 2016’s total of £174,170.
Catherine’s new wardrobe reportedly includes the blue belted coat dress which she wore during her visit to Child Bereavement UK in January which cost £1,650, an embroidered dress by designer Erdem costing £1,050 which was seen during a Heads Together event, and a pair of Asprey 167 earrings with a hefty price tag of £3,864.
And the Duchess also reportedly spent an impressive £6,252 on the Alexander McQueen dress she wore to her first ever appearance at the BAFTAs earlier this year, and teamed the beautiful gown with a £1,670 clutch bag by the same designer.
Meanwhile, it was recently announced that Catherine will join her husband – with whom she has two children, Prince George, three, and Princess Charlotte, 23 months – and Prince Harry in cheering on the runners at this year’s London Marathon, for which their charity Heads Together is the chosen charity.
Prince Harry said in a video: “You’ve been training for months and the start line to the 2017 Virgin Money London Marathon is finally within sight. I’m sure it will be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life.
“William, Katherine and I will be there to cheer you all on. We’re really excited that Head’s Together is the chosen charity for this year’s marathon. We want to use this moment to end the stigma that stops people talking and change the conversation about mental health for good. You can make it the mental health marathon.
“We know that many of you will be running for some incredible charities because you have been directly affected by life-changing issues. You’ll recognise the emotional impact these can have and how talking about it openly can help. We all have mental health just as we all have physical health, and you can all play your part in the biggest movement in mental health.
“Whatever cause you are running for, wear your vest with pride and please wear your Heads Together headband. When we work together we can achieve great things. Good luck, see you at the finish line.”
