Glastonbury to remain at Worthy Farm

OHMYGOSSIP — Glastonbury will remain at Worthy Farm in Somerset.
Despite speculation about the annual music extravaganza’s future at its current location, founder Michael Eavis’ daughter Emily Eavis has confirmed that the festival will not be moving.
She told BBC 6 Music: “Glastonbury will always be here at Worthy Farm. We have just signed a 17-year contract with one of our neighbouring farmers, so it’s very much as solid as it can be here at Worthy Farm.
“Glastonbury Festival will always be here and hopefully we can keep it going. We’ve managed to keep it going for this long so hopefully we can keep it going a bit longer.”
Although Michael previously claimed the festival would move and its name would be changed to Variety Bazaar, Emily clarified that they are working on a sister festival which will have the new name.
She explained: “We are going to do another festival at some point called the Variety Bazaar which is going to be something different – it’s the same team, but a different idea, a smaller thing, maybe. It’s still in discussion.
“But Glastonbury Festival will always be here and hopefully we can keep it going. We’ve managed to keep it going for this long so hopefully we can keep it going a bit longer.”
This year, Ed Sheeran, Foo Fighters and Radiohead are headlining the festival.
Katy Perry, Stormzy, Bee Gees legend Barry Gibb, The xx, Royal Blood, Biffy Clyro, The National, Chic, Major Lazer, Lorde, The Jacksons, The Flaming Lips, Emeli Sande, Halsey, George Ezra and Kaiser Chiefs are also on the line-up.
