British royals are eager to boost online engagement and seeking digital communications officers

OHMYGOSSIP — Buckingham Palace and Prince Charles are currently seeking digital communications officers in a bid to boost their online presence. The British royals are keen to ensure that they stay at the forefront of the digital sphere and are, therefore, seeking professionals who could help to improve their social media activity.

The advert for the vacancy at Buckingham Palace says that it is maternity-cover job on its “fast-paced and dynamic team”, with a salary of £30,000. What’s more, the advert points out that the successful candidate will have the added benefit of “knowing your content will be viewed by millions” across the globe.

It says: “The reaction to our work is always high profile, and so reputation and impact will be at the forefront of all you do. And having your work shared around the world will be the biggest reward.”

The overarching ambition behind the move is to ensure that the royals build engagement with an online audience, especially among young people. Earlier this week, meanwhile, Prince Charles was photobombed by Kasabian’s Sergio Pizzorno during a visit to a pub in Somerset, England.

The 68-year-old royal and the chart-topping star both happened to be in the Prince of Wales, in Ham Hill, Stoke Sub Hamdon, on Valentine’s Day (14.02.17) and as the Prince greeted locals, a picture was sneakily taken of him while he wasn’t looking. Sergio, 36, captioned the snap on Instagram: “Photo bombing zone …#HRH (sic)”
