Dr Phil McGraw shaves mustache on Oprah
Dr Phil McGraw has shaved his mustache on The Oprah Winfrey Show after having it for over 40 years. Phil McGraw grabbed the clippers on a live tapping of the programme in New York City after the therapist suggested it himself.
“I tell people you’ve got to be willing to change something,” he said, before deciding to take his own advice.
“For the first time in over 40 years – and I have two kids and they’ve never seen me without a mustache – I am going to take off my mustache,” he announced in front of the Radio City Music Hall audience of 5,300 people.
Oprah made the first swipe with a razor and then Dr Mehmet Oz helped finish the job.
Afterward, Dr. Phil said he felt “awfully drafty”, while Oprah said it made him look younger.
