Ed Balls wants to 'keep coming back' to Strictly Come Dancing

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Balls is determined to “keep coming back” to ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ each week.
The 49-year-old politician has consistently found himself at the bottom of the leaderboard on the latin and ballroom dance show, but so far has made it through each week by relying on the voting public to keep him in the competition.
Now, Ed – who is partnered with professional dancer Katya Jones on the show – has said he’s desperate to come back and dance another week, and will keep giving it his all for as long as the public want him to be there.
He said on spin off show ‘Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two’ on Friday (25.11.16): “If in the end the public want us to come back – we’ll keep coming back.
“I’m just looking forward to the next dance and trying to do our best every week.
“I was not the best dancer at the beginning – I was the worst dancer. I’ve never done it before. I wasn’t the youngest, but we’ve tried really hard.
“We’re trying to get better every week and we’re trying to entertain. Katya’s choreography is fantastic.”
But even if the former shadow chancellor manages to make it to the final, it’s unlikely he’ll lift the glitterball trophy as recent research carried out by Voucherbox.co.uk has found that members of parliament are typically not the best movers on the show.
The study – which looked into the programme’s 12-year history – found the politicians average at a dismal 10th place in the competition after Ann Widdecombe – who took part in the show 2010 – and Edwina Currie, who competed in 2011, failed to impress.
Meanwhile, an insider recently claimed the show’s judging panel – Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli, Darcey Bussell, and Craig Revel Horwood – will likely vote Ed off the show if he falls into the dance off this week.
They said: “The challenge is almost definitely set to place Ed bottom of the judge’s leaderboard.
“He’s the worst dancer on paper and even if he nails his rehearsed dance, he’s set to be voted off by judges.”
