OHMYGOSSIP — Prince William and Prince Harry are set to honour their late mother Princess Diana with special tribute.
The royal brothers – who are the children of Prince Charles and Diana – are overseeing the plans for the forthcoming event, which is taking place inside and outside of Kensington Palace, to mark the 20th anniversary of the royal’s death in 1997.
Speaking to the Daily Express newspaper, a spokesperson for the Historic Royal Palaces said: “The Duke and Prince Harry have been supportive. They’ve seen the plans.”
William, 34, and Harry, 32, are set to install a temporary memorial in the form of a White Garden in the grounds, which will include flowers including tulips, forget-me-nots and white roses that have been selected to suit the late Princess of Wales’ preferences.
And the garden’s team leader, Sean Harkin, has admitted he hopes to represent Diana’s “energy and spirit” with the feature.
He said: “We hope to capture the energy and spirit which made her such a popular figure around the world.”
Meanwhile, fashion designer Victor Edelstein – who created garments for the golden-haired beauty – has revealed Diana was very particular about her “likes and dislikes”.
Speaking previously about the star – who is set to have a fashion exhibition launch in memory of her next year, which will be titled ‘Diana: Her Fashion Story’ – he said: “She was clear about her likes and dislikes.”
And the creative mastermind has credited Diana for having a “good eye” for fashion and has revealed she instantly knew what outfits would suit her and what wouldn’t.
Victor explained: “She had a good eye for what would suit her.”
