Buster the boxer dog is the star of John Lewis' Christmas advert

OHMYGOSSIP — Buster the boxer dog finally got his Christmas wish in the John Lewis festive advert, which was released on Thursday (10.11.16).
The story begins with Buster intently watching young Bridget as she jumps on her bed but the little girl is soon asked to head to sleep so her father can begin constructing her big Christmas surprise, a huge trampoline complete with a red bow.
Bridget’s mother watches on as he carefully builds the huge present and once it is all assembled, he heads back in to relax in front of the television with his wife.
As the trampoline sits in the garden waiting for Bridget to lay her eyes on it in the morning, two playful foxes Otto and Olivia emerge from the hedgerow and climb up onto the toy. Buster looks on from inside the house, desperately wishing he could join the foxes and Betsy the badger bouncing around.
Soon, Halle the hedgehog and Sid the squirrel join in and they are all jumping along to a stunning rendition of Randy Crawford’s ‘One Day I’ll Fly Away’, performed by electronic band Vaults alongside a 70-strong choir and 66-piece orchestra.
Morning comes and Bridget wakes up, excited for Christmas. She heads downstairs to her parents, who are already waiting to show her the best gift of all.
She runs to have a go on the trampoline but Buster swoops past her and starts bouncing around, much to Bridget and her parent’s shock.
As Bridget looks back to her parents with awe, the company’s Christmas slogan for the year, ‘Gifts that everyone will love’, appears on the screen.
For this year’s advert – which is thought to have cost the company around £1 million to make – John Lewis have partnered with The Wildlife Trust, who will receive some of the profits from the sale of the soft toy animals featured in the video.
