Drake postpones Summer Sixteen Tour due to injury

OHMYGOSSIP — Drake has postponed the rest of his and Future’s ‘Summer Sixteen Tour’ due to an ankle injury.
The ‘One Dance’ hitmaker is under “doctor’s orders” not to perform the three remaining dates including two shows at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, which were due to take place on Tuesday (11.10.16) and Wednesday (12.10.16), and his final show of the tour in Newark, New Jersey on Saturday (15.10.16).
The 29-year-old rapper had continued to perform despite sustaining the sprained ankle and as a result made it worse.
He is said to be devastated that he can no longer perform and can’t wait to return to the stage.
A statement, made on behalf of the star, reads: “Drake suffered a severe ankle injury during the tour which he did his best to power through. By doing this, he made his injury worse. Under doctors orders and to ensure Drake only ever gives fans the performances they deserve, he will be postponing the remaining three dates of his ‘Summer Sixteen Tour’ to allow him time to recuperate his ankle injury. Drake’s fans mean the world to him. Seeing their faces and performing his music for them is what he loves to do the most and he can’t wait to get back on stage.”
