OHMYGOSSIP — The new ‘Friday the 13th’ movie has been delayed.
The reboot of the iconic horror movie franchise was slated for release early next year but has now been pushed back to October 13, 2017, Paramount Pictures have announced.
‘Friday the 13th’ follows the story of fictional killer Jason Voorhees, who drowned as a boy. His death has cursed the lake and the watery landscape becomes the setting of a series of brutal murders.
Whilst the movie has seen a setback, the ‘Friday the 13th: The Game’ – which has been funded by a Kickstarter campaign – is now in full development.
After Gun Media released prototype footage of the game, they explained it was still in the developmental stage.
They said: “This is a rare glimpse into a game development prototype build that we’re using to test and prove out gameplay design concept.
“All of the assets, character models, animations, etc … are temporary assets, put in place so we can test in a reasonable context. The art, sound effects, music and gameplay are not final by any means. (sic)”
‘Friday the 13th: The Game’ easily reached its target of $823,704, beating the $700,000 it had initially hoped for.
