OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Moss is opening her own modelling agency.
The 42-year-old supermodel is thrilled to be launching her own talent agency, something which she admits has been a “dream” of hers for some time.
She said: “It’s a dream! It’s so weird. You know that film Gia? Faye Dunaway plays the agent. I could so do that! But I want to focus more on managing people’s careers than just running a modelling agency. I don’t really want pretty people, I want people that want to sing and dance and act – I want to create stars …
“It’s a grown-up thing. I felt like I wanted to do things that were more than modeling. It didn’t matter how much we would try and do it together with them, I was always going to be the little Kate that they’ve known since I was 14.”
And Kate insists Storm Models was very “understanding” when she decided to depart the agency earlier this year after 27 years on their books.
She added to Business of Fashion: “It was like leaving home. I had to leave, and they were very understanding about it. They were like, ‘Yeah you’ve got to go now, we’ve done as much as we can do.’ I wanted to spread my wings.”
Meanwhile, Kate previously revealed she wants to open a nightclub in London.
She said: “I would love to open a nightclub in London. I used to go dancing a lot when I was younger. I used to get so excited Friday night, get dressed up coming to London, it was so much fun …
“I like being at home being able to mingle and being able to dance around and be silly … [Getting dressed] is usually my favourite part of the whole evening. That’s the best bit. But sometimes we don’t make it out because we’re having too much fun.”
