OHMYGOSSIP — Alexa Chung is releasing another archive collection for Marks & Spencer.
The 32-year-old beauty has been working with the high street retailer on the 27-piece Winter Archive By Alexa range, and though she is sure there is “pressure” for it to be as successful as the first Archive by Alexa edit, she won’t be feeling it until it goes on sale on November 1.
Asked if there’s pressure for the new collection to be a success, she said: “I’m sure there is but I haven’t had much time to think about it. During the process of assembling the collection I’m just focused on the clothes themselves, but definitely once it’s all been made I start pranging out and wondering whether anyone will like it.”
Alexa is finding it tricky to choose a favourite piece from the collection, but thinks there is one she should choose because she “stole” it to keep when shooting promotional pictures for the range.
She told Vogue.co.uk: “Oh man, this time round that’s difficult because I keep changing my mind [about what I like best].
“I stole the polkadot halter dress from the shoot so I suppose that might be a favourite because if it isn’t then I’m a thief for no good reason. A rebel without a cause.”
The brunette beauty loved seeing people wearing pieces from her original collection and enjoyed the different ways they styled the garments.
She said: “It is truly fascinating to be able to observe how people take something and make it their own. That’s what I love the most. Reinterpretation and context. I felt very proud whenever I saw someone with one of our archive pieces on because it meant it was relatable and current, which is exactly what I was hoping for.”
