Kanye West to stream show on Tidal
OHMYGOSSIP — Kanye West will stream his New York Fashion Week show on Tidal.
The ‘All Day’ rapper has released few details about his Yeezy Season 4 presentation, but has now confirmed it will take place on Wednesday (7.09.16) at 3pm EST and fans who are not in attendance at the mystery venue will be able to catch the show via the subscription streaming service.
He tweeted: “SEASON 4 09/07/16 3PM http://season4.tidal.com (sic)”
While the details of the show are a mystery, it is known Kanye will be using “multiracial” models having staged an open casting over the weekend.
His casting call asked for “multiracial models only”, who were instructed to “come as you are”, without make-up.
Jada Berthoumieux, 16, had never modelled before but travelled from New Jersey for the casting and was in the queue by 9am because it would mean “everything” to walk the runway for Kanye.
She said: “It would mean everything [to be in this show].
“I’ve been wanting to model for a really long time now and it’s just exposure. I’m just really excited right now.”
For Casey Waller, an 18-year-old actress and part-time model, she was attracted to the “empire of Kanye West” and admitted she thinks the 39-year-old star’s unique vision means he could offer a chance to anyone.
She said: “He’s so different from everyone else. I just think this is such an interesting show. I feel like any girl could do it, whether you’re six feet tall size zero, or size four. There’s just an opportunity with him.”
Another hopeful, Saima, headed straight to the audition from work as she was determined not to miss out, having been too late for Kanye’s open casting last season.
She said: “I was on a work shift from the Hamptons, that’s why I have all my suitcases with me.
“What brought me here was that the past three seasons have been to-die-for. I tried to come last season, but I came too late, so this is my second try.”
