Noel Gallagher ends tour in front of David Beckham

OHMYGOSSIP — Noel Gallagher played the last concert of his tour in London on Tuesday night (06.09.16) watched by David Beckham and his son Brooklyn.
The 49-year-old rocker has been on the road since February 2015 touring his second High Flying Birds album ‘Chasing Yesterday’ and he called time on the run of shows in style at the O2 Academy Brixton watched by the retired England captain – who played for Manchester United, the great rivals of Noel’s beloved Manchester City FC – and his 17-year-old son.
And David, 41, wasn’t the only famous fan in attendance. Other celebrities rocking out included Kasabian guitarist Serge Pizzorno, Stoke City soccer player Peter Crouch and his wife Abbey Clancy and Mark Ronson.
Noel performed a set split between songs by his former band Oasis and solo tracks, such as ‘Everybody’s On The Run’, ‘Lock All The Doors’, ‘The Death of You and Me’ and ‘If I Had A Gun…’.
Midway through the concert he was joined on stage by former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr for a spell-binding version of Oasis classic ‘Champagne Supernova’ and a rendition of the ‘Ballad of the Mighty I’ – which he recorded with Noel for his LP.
Afterwards Noel exclaimed, “That just happened,” and appeared to be as excited to play with the guitar god as the crowd were to witness the magical musical moment.
And Johnny wasn’t the only special guest of the evening, as for the encore Noel was joined on stage by his close friend Paul Weller.
The two rock legends played The Jam songs ‘Pretty Green’ and ‘Town Called Malice’ and Paul took the opportunity to praise his pal telling fans: “I want to pay tribute to our host, he’s written so many great songs and he’s still doing it.”
Noel ended his show by playing Oasis classics ‘Wonderwall’ – which he dedicated to his 16-year-old daughter Anais who was watching her dad perform – and ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’, which sparked a mass singalong from his adoring fans.
