OHMYGOSSIP — Bonnie Langford wants to compete on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The ‘EastEnders’ actress is desperate to slip into a crystal-embellished gown and hit the dance floor for the Ballroom and Latin show but she’s terrified people will criticise her for having a head start as she previously took part in ‘Dancing on Ice’ in 2006.
She explained: “I would love it, as I’ve never ballroom-danced before. I think it would be difficult, thought, because people would see me as a trained dancer and therefore not on a level playin gfield with the other contestants. I had a lot of that when I was on ‘Dancing On Ice’, and I was like ‘Are you kidding? Skating is polar opposite’ So I think I’m better off watching and supporting.”
But, although she doesn’t think bosses will want her to take part in the competition next year, the 52-year-old star has her eye on the judging panel as Len Goodman is set to bow out after this year.
Asked if she would take a spot on the judging panel, she said: “Now that would be fun. Oh my God, I would absolutely love it!”
However, for now, Bonnie will support her co-star Tameka Empson on the forthcoming series of the dancing programme.
She told Inside Soap magazine: “I think Tameka is going to be fabulous and brilliant. I think she’s going to feel exhausted, bless her, as we often film Christmas an new year on ‘EastEnders’ while ‘Strictly…’ is on. I might buy her a foot roller as I think she’s going to need one. Her poor feet will be crippled every week.”
