Rosie Huntington-Whitely: Modelling is the ‘best job’
OHMYGOSSIP — Rosie Huntington-Whitely believes modelling is the “best job” and thinks it stands her in good stead as she prepares to launch her own make-up range for Marks and Spencer because she has spent so much of her career in a make-up chair.
The 28-year-old beauty – who is engaged to Jason Statham – has just launched her own make-up collection and was thrilled to be a part of the process the whole way through as she has spent many times in the make-up chair for her job and has “always loved” it.
She said: “It would have been really boring to me not to have been involved. I love being a part of the process – I’m a real girl’s girl so it’s a dream come true. I’ve always loved make-up and I think modelling is the best job I could ever have had. I’ve picked up a lot and sat in the seat for hours and hours – I wonder how many hours I would have spent in hair and make-up over the course of my life….!
“But I’m here in London at least once a month and I have worked with the beauty team really closely – trying things, sending things back. The formulas were really important to me so it’s all been tried and tested by myself and by close make-up artist friends of mine as well.”
Meanwhile, Rosie – who is partnering with Marks and Spencer, with whom she also has a lingerie, nightwear and fragrance collection, for the range – also admits it was a sensible next step as she has a “genuine love” for make-up.
She added to Vogue.co.uk: “For me, make-up made sense as the next step because I have a genuine love for it. Like lingerie and fragrance it’s something that’s very personal to a woman, and something that we use every day.”
