Demi Lovato: I wish I hadn’t fixed my teeth
OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Confident’ singer Demi Lovato has revealed she was asked to fix her teeth before appearing in Disney movie ‘Camp Rock’ but now wishes she hadn’t succumbed to the pressure.
The actress-and-singer won a part in Disney’s ‘Camp Rock’ as Mitchie Torres aged 16 and has revealed she was asked by movie bosses to correct the feature that she was born with, but wishes she hadn’t succumbed to pressure.
Demi shared: “I signed with Disney Channel when I got ‘Camp Rock’, and I had a gap between my two front teeth. They were like, ‘Would you be willing to fix it?’ I wish today that I hadn’t, because my gap was really cute.”
However, now aged 23, the brunette stunner – who has openly battled with eating disorders and negative body image in the past – is happier than she has ever been with her body and thinks her fans will notice.
The ‘Confident’ singer told Allure magazine: “Once I started feeling better about myself, I felt better about showing more skin. I have insecurities about my arms, so to wear a tank top on stage is extremely liberating for me, and uncomfortable sometimes. It’s also a statement, like, ‘Hey, watch out. You’re no longer getting the insecure Demi that you’ve been getting for the past couple of years. I mean business now.'”
