Kanye West releases silent Yeezy Season 2 documentary
OHMYGOSSIP — Kanye West has released a silent movie documenting the creative process behind his Yeezy Season 2 fashion line.
The rapper-and-fashion-designer’s film features behind-the-scenes footage of what was involved in the creative process, but without sound.
The silent documentary begins with a black screen with white text reading: “This documentation has no sound”.
The video – which is 20 minutes long – gives fans an exclusive look into the designs, stitching and sewing work that went into the items in the lead up to his big show at New York Fashion Week back in September.
Meanwhile, Kanye has revealed the unusual inspiration for his neutral clothing range was the loft in his £2.9 million New York apartment designed by architect Claudio Silvestrin.
He explained to Vanity Fair magazine: “I’ve stayed in a Claudio Silvestrin apartment since I was 26, and I love those types of palettes and that’s my opinion.
“And I have this opportunity to work with amazing professionals to get this painting across. I want it to become more of a moving painting than a political statement or a fashion statement.
“This is strictly … not strictly, you can take it how you want; obviously I’m a very socially charged human being. But at the end of the day, I’m just simply an artist trying to express myself, trying to finish my sentences just like my daughter can.”
The short film is available to watch on Yeezy.supply.
