Kris Jenner eyes The View job
OHMYGOSSIP — Kris Jenner has reportedly been calling producers of ‘The View’ to insist she’d be perfect for the vacant hosting slot.
The 59-year-old showbiz matriarch – who has previously guest hosted the programme and fronted her own flop talk show, ‘Kris’, in 2013 – has reportedly been bombarding producers with calls claiming she can “save” the popular daytime series following Rosie O’Donnell’s departure.
A source told America’s OK! magazine: “Kris is acting as her own agent. So she’s been calling the producers to try to sell them on what an enormous audience she already has and how she will single-handedly save the show!”
According to the insider, most of the show’s panel – Nicole Wallace, Rosie Perez and Whoopi Goldberg – think Kris would be a good addition.
If Kris doesn’t land the high-profile slot on the ABC show, it will further boost her earnings following the recent $100 million contract she negotiated for her family with the E! network, of which she will personally take a rumoured $20 million cut.
The four-year contract is the highest in TV history for a reality brand.
The deal covers “at least” four more seasons of ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’, spin-off shows and possible digital projects.
A source said recently: “You’ll be seeing a lot more of the Kardashian family. This is a huge deal, which will see their involvement with the network and its digital properties expand well into the future.”
