Derrick Pountney wants to be Katie Price’s friend

OHMYGOSSIP — Derrick Pountney, the husband of Katie Price’s friend Jane – who had an affair with Kieran Hayler – is hopeful he can be friends with the former glamour model again.

Jane Pountney’s husband thinks he will rekindle his friendship with Katie Price. The former glamour model was left devastated last year when she discovered her husband Kieran Hayler had cheated on her with her best friend and Jane’s spouse Derrick is hopeful he can bond with the 36-year-old beauty – who he has known for 20 years – again in the future.

He said: “I was a friend of Katie’s first. She’s alright, Katie, she’s a good girl. She’s not the monster everyone thinks she is.”

Katie – who has since reconciled with her spouse – is currently appearing on UK reality show ‘Celebrity Big Brother’, where she has spoken openly about Kieran and Jane’s affair, and Derrick thinks she has lashed out because she is “hurting” so badly still.

He told heat magazine: “It’s all a massive front in the house. Katie’s similar to me – we’re a couple of big softies really.

“Kieran and Jane are the ones that have taken advantage of the situation.

“Katie is bringing it all up again on TV because she’s hurting and so am I.”

Among the revelations Katie – who has children Harvey, 12, Princess, nine, and Junior, seven, from previous relationships and Jett, 16 months, and five-month-old Bunny with Kieran – has made on the show is that she caught her husband and Jane cheating at a onesie-themed party.

She said: “Whenever I do parties they are always fancy dress because I think people make an effort. So this was the first year I didn’t because last year I did a onesie one and Keiran and Jane f***ed in my stables so I will never wear a onesie again.

“It was on the cameras, it was one o’clock in the morning on my cameras. You can see them walking up to the stables and I never knew, everyone was in my house partying.
